SGC IV Playbook

As a Participant in the 2011 SGC IV, you are entitled to use this Playbook pursuant to the Participation Agreement. Any other use of the Playbook or items from the SGC IV "Store" is strictly prohibited.

1. ORDER ITEMS AT THE SGC STORE: NOTE: The Schools cost is listed on the store along with a suggested "School Retail Price" for each item (ex. T-Shirts cost as low as $4.99, but we suggest selling them to the public for $10 to $12).

Fundraiser Promo items - Special "Classic" T-Shirts with the U.S. Army logo, Footballs, Rally Towels, "Together We Will Win" Wrist Bands and other items as they become available.

Signature items - for auction, raffle, etc. - SGC IV pink "36" jersey and SGV IV football personally signed by Chris Spielman.

Store Instructions:
Step No. 1: Go the Website and click on "STORE" tab or click here to go directly to the store.
Step No.2: Click on "LOGIN" tab
Step No. 3: Click on "First Time Customer" link... follow User Setup
Step No. 4: Click on "PRODUCTS" tab to begin shopping
Step No. 5: Payments can be made via Credit Card or Purchase Order.
If PO option is chosen, a signed PO will be required along with a completed credit application.

2. PRESS RELEASE: A suggested form of a press release for local media is available by clicking here. - Please do not alter the quotes from Chris Spielman.

3. TROPHIES: Champion, MVP and Participant trophies are provided by the SGC IV and will be shipped to the address to be provided by Participant. [More info and link to come]

4. PRESENTATION OF TROPHIES: US Army representative(s) plan to present the trophies at the end of the game. Please contact [name of contact] [More info and link to come]

5. FIVE (5) MINUTE HALF-TIME EXTENSION: The OHSAA has agreed to permit a five (5) minute extension. Please notify the game officials and coaches prior to the game.

7. HALF-TIME MESSAGE: The recorded message from Chris Spielman to be broadcast at half-time is available for download here

8. CANCER SURVIVORS: We suggest that announcements be made to invite cancer survivors to be recognized at half-time, either by inviting them to the field (especially if there is a speaker) or standing for acknowledgement

9. HALF-TIME SPEAKER: If you request a speaker for the half-time events, we will attempt to arrange a speaker (such as a former OSU player) but this will be subject to their availability. Please contact us as far in advance as possible three weeks prior to your scheduled game. [More info and link to come]

10. FUNDRAISING and AWARENESS Ideas:

  • Raffle and/or auction Chris Spielman autographed "Pink" No. 36 Jersey and SGC IV Football which you can order from the store.
  • Sell SGC IV Special "Pink" T-Shirts with the U.S. Army logo which are also on the store.
  • Challenge the opposing school to a "Pink-Out" or Contest with the losing school's principal wearing the other school's Jersey or Shirt.
  • Sell Special "Next to the Stadium" Parking passes for your SGC IV game.
  • Obtain local business sponsors for the event such as insurance agents, car dealers, etc.
  • Hold a Cook-out/tailgate party for both schools the night of the game.
  • Hold a Special "Pink" Car Wash at your school or a local business.
  • Challenge every Booster organization, i.e. Band, Basketball, etc. and school organization to hold an individual fundraiser such as a bake sale, etc. with the winning student organization receiving a special prize from the school Principal.
  • Ask for Breast Cancer donations the night of the game (e.g., place pink buckets at the concession stands).
